Scope of Work
Project Overview
The homeowner wanted to clean up and refresh several landscape areas around the property after seasonal buildup from leaves, weeds, and overgrowth. The work focused on the front yard and the left side of the home within the retaining wall areas.
The project included removing weeds and landscape debris, trimming and shaping existing shrubs and hedges, edging planting beds, and applying fresh black mulch throughout the property. Once completed, the landscape looked cleaner, more maintained, and easier to manage moving into the warmer months.

Site Conditions
The Property and Site Conditions
The property already had established landscaping with mature hedges, evergreen screening, stone-bordered planting beds, and multiple landscaped sections surrounding the home. Over time, leaves and debris had built up beneath shrubs and along the edges of the beds, especially around the evergreen areas and retaining wall sections.
Some planting beds had visible weed growth and older mulch that had started to thin out and lose its finished appearance. Several shrubs and hedges also needed pruning to clean up overgrowth and improve the overall shape of the landscape.
Because the property included a mix of stone borders, drainage areas, hedges, and mature plantings, the cleanup work had to be done carefully to avoid damaging existing plants while still clearing out debris and overgrowth throughout the yard.

What We Did
We started by clearing leaves, weeds, small branches, and general landscape debris throughout the front yard and the left side of the property. All weeds were removed by the root where accessible, and the collected debris was hauled away from the site.
After cleanup, we pruned and shaped the existing hedges and shrubs throughout the property to improve the appearance of the planting beds and restore cleaner lines along the driveway, walkway, and roadside landscaping. The work included trimming around mature evergreen hedges and ornamental shrubs already established around the home.
Once the beds were cleaned and prepared, we edged the existing landscape borders and installed fresh black mulch throughout the previously mulched areas. The darker mulch helped define the planting beds against the stonework, lawn, and lighter exterior finishes of the home while also helping retain moisture and reduce future weed growth.
By the end of the project, the landscape had a cleaner and more maintained appearance with refreshed planting beds, trimmed greenery, and improved curb appeal throughout the property.
